Just heard the studio version pop up on my Pandora shuffle and it made me real sad. This is really bad music, to think it came to putting out something like that. Sad.....

Sorry in advance to if there actually is someone offended by this ( I doubt it )

Sure makes you appreciate shows like this even more, huh? http://archive.org/details/gd1973-10-29.sbd.miller.32352.sbeok.flac16 The heights they reach on that Eyes, have rarely been matched. And The Other One, is just sublime. One of my favorite shows of the year actually. Nice and jazzy. Even Truckin' gets a nice jazzy jam. The band just sounds soooo perfect in late '73.

Funny you should post this one - i drove from Jersey to st. Charles mo. this past aug to drop off my daughter at school and brought this one to spin as we entered St Louis.

She doesn't like the dead but said Brokedown was OK other than that a thumbs down and boring "how come they never sing" - lol

I thought it was ok. No masterpiece by any means but not too bad. Obviously the band felt the same way about it that you do. Handful of performances and then dropped never to return. The interesting thing about the tune is that folks who see further and post Dead bands say it's in the rotation and usually gets a good response. Not sure if they changed it up but most folks are high on it. Never heard a post Jerry version so I can't weigh in.
